Ciaran, a well-travelled Chef & Coddle Champion, runs a much-loved family pub, The Gravediggers, with his siblings in Glasnevin, Dublin. A public house that has been in the same Kavanagh family since 1833, almost nine generations. Well known for pints & its coddle, a dish sold by the gallons a day.

After many years working in Europe & The Bahamas, Ciaran returned to Dublin with a passion to champion local recipes & locally sourced products, he has been seen on many networks from Ireland, the UK & Europe to Stateside & Australia, cooking & championing Irish food especially that much-loved Dublin dish, Coddle.

He has cooked for and shared Coddle with well-known Chefs like Anthony Bourdain, John Terrorde, Andrew Zimmerman, Kevin Dundon, Ross Lewis, Ste McAllister, Gary O’Hanlon & many more.  His take on coddle has been enjoyed by locals, Dubliners, tourists and visiting celebrities. His Irish Spring Rolls are now legendary, not to mention his Coddle Crispy Pancake! 

Ciaran Kavanagh will be judging the Me Auld Flower Coddle Cook Off on Sunday 19th March.
